What is Line Crossing Detection
Line crossing is essentially being able to add a line (or several) to a specific camera view that generates an alert when that line is crossed. The system can be set up to start recording when an object crosses over that line and send an alert to your phone or email.
Virtual trip wires - create zones where you want motion to trigger an alert.
Avoid false alarms - distinguish between small (cat) and large objects (human or car).
Intelligent analytics - our system creates bookmarks in its history for motion events.
1. Virtual Trip Wires:
Our security cameras give us the ability to set up zones on the camera's view and assign a status to that zone. The status can be something as simple as don't trigger if motion is sense on one side of that line, but trigger and alert the owner if motion is sense on the other side. This is incredibly useful for areas where there is a lot of movement.
2. Avoid False Alarms:
Traditional PIR sensors (the ones you see in residential house roof corners for the alarms systems) only pick up motion, regardless of what it is. This can cause false alarms when it comes to animals or other foreign objects, which you don't want to be notified about. Smart cameras can distinguish between large objects like humans and small objects like a cat or dog.
3. Intelligent Analytics:
The smart camera's that our systems use analyse the images constantly, when motion is sensed it logs that event in its history. Significance you ask? When going back through historical recordings you don't have to trawl through hours or days of recordings to find events, you simply skip through the "bookmarks? that system has made of when movement was sensed.
